During the summer of 2012 Cousssens were involved in many projects which formed part of the preparations for the London 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
One such project was the installation of The London Dresser. The piece, which was one of a number of specially selected architectural pavilions created for the Olympic year, contains a coffee shop. The seating within is designed to resemble famous buildings of the london skyline.
The load was transported by Coussens to its new home opposite the London Eye and lifted into its final resting using a 350T crane as part of a contract lift.
You can read more about the specially commissioned set of pavilions on the London Mayor’s Website(page 17).
